by Ursula K. Le Guin
adventurous
tense
medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven:
A mix
Strong character development:
Yes
Loveable characters:
Yes
Diverse cast of characters:
Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus:
Complicated
A Starlord must journey across a planet with primitive technology in order to save the planet’s inhabitants. A curious mix of sci-fi anthropology and planetary mythology.
Le Guin’s writing manages to be so tight and so expressive at the same time. It’s always a joy to read. Not much happens in this book, but Rocannon’s World an interesting place to inhabit for a while with interesting characters.
