I listened to the audiobook for this one and Samantha Brentmoor and Will Watt did a great job bringing Loomis and Keegan to life. This was my first J. Saman book, but I will definitely be going back to check out other books in this series. There was so much to enjoy in this story. I loved that Keegan was successful and confident and didn’t NEED a man. The banter between her and Loomis was top-notch and the closeness of her friends and family was really sweet. During a moment of heartache, Loomis’ mother gave him some really bad advice that he has unfortunately taken to heart all these years. Despite WANTING to open up to Keegan, he is afraid to make himself vulnerable. When the person who is trying to ruin him sets their sights on taking down Keegan as well – all of his protective instincts come out.

For me personally, an audiobook has to be done really well or it throws off my enjoyment of the entire story. I may love a book in print but if the audio isn’t amazing – I’m not going to enjoy it. This audiobook was done really well. The playfulness, banter, sweetness and sexiness of both characters are portrayed so well and I highly recommend the audiobook for this one!
