This was okay.
I think that the writing style used for Dirk’s chapters kept taking me out of the story and it wasn’t needed. I think there is a way to write a character with certain accents without making it difficult to read and without causing so many inconsistencies with the character.
I enjoyed the romance between Lou, Connell and Dirk and how things develop between all three of them. I was expecting a bit more spice considering the dynamic of the relationship.
Also Lou being bratty to me it made it seem like she was younger than her own nieces but that might be just how it came across to me.
