The Girl from the Other Side: Siúil, a Rún Deluxe Edition I by Nagabe
3.0
I’m not a big manga reader and it’s because the art often confuses me. My eye gets drawn to brush strokes that look like something else than what they’re meant to and I get fixated on this. I thought the artist’s use of black and white and shading was interesting but at times, I could not tell what was being depicted in a panel because of how dark it was.
I think the black and white was also supposed to go with the theme of inside/outside hood/evil. I’m curious why the others all look like creatures and have a “curse,” why Shiva is considered a pure soul, and what the Father and King are plotting. Was the curse a sickness they used to take down their enemies?
I’m curious about how the series ends but won’t rush to finish it.
