Starting off the reading year with a banger (in June). The atmosphere was heavy and tangible. Carmilla was terrifying and alluring in a way that simultaneously made me want to cower in fear and rip her from the pages so I could see her with my own two eyes. I finished the book and immediately wanted to flip back to the beginning and read it again.
