While this book was interesting enough to make me want to see the end, I almost DNFed it several times. While I at first found the conversational bits and pieces and the author’s use of “you,” I feel like it overpowered the story and too much was focused on these droll tangents from Elliot, not the actual story. I also found his lamenting about his life to get overbearing - I get it, your childhood sucked, life is messy, blah blah blah. I don’t need to hear it 500 times in 500 different ways.
