Crown of the Stag by Ella Walker Henderson

5.0

In this sequel we follow where Fang of The Wolf left us, with Valaria returning to her home.
After her sworn alliance to the Jarlsorns she must now prove herself to her clan, and begin leading her path to a new leadership with both loyalty to the Varsung And the Jarlsrorn. But, she is taken by surprise, both by her father and the Jarlsorn leader when they propose a twist in the plans with a combined leadership with Cullard. Does she agrees to this new way of leadership? What does it implies? Is it a business transaction only or something more? She is conflicted yet excited. She respects him but can't deep down help felling attracted to Cullard. But, at the same time some fears arise... can she trust him? Can she trust him not to follow his father blindly?
Can they trully unite all the clans against a greater threat?

I was immersed in this story and just couldn't put the book down! That's how much I loved it!
I was already eager after the previous one to see where the story and characters would lead us and I'm surely not disapointed. I loved all the world building, how the author described this world so realistically, the way the story unflolded and where we were leaded.
I already liked both main characters, and that intensified here, but I also started respecting and liking more several of the side ones. I trully enjoy that found family vibe and this story has so much of it!
As in the previous one there's a hint of romance, that grows through out the story, but that's not the main focus. It's like a little seasoning that adds to the story and helps cement what we already liked, and I'm glad it was there!

I can't wait to read the next one! I have so many questions..
