Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

5.0

Wow. This book lived up to the hype. I read this
alongside with the audio book and it made it 100%
better.

Whilst reading this I had to keep reminding myself that
it is fiction not a non fiction book and that they're not a
real life band. I loved the layout of the book and how it
was written in an interview style that jumped back and
forth from then and now. You got to see each characters different perspectives and perception of the same situation which was entertaining to read. I loved how the author dug beneath the perceived glamour of fame and focused on the effects of addiction.

“I had absolutely no interest in being somebody else's
muse. I am not a muse. I am the somebody. End of
fucking story."

This book is a must read.

I am very excited for the tv series!
