The Lake of Tears by Emily Rodda

2.0

The plot of the book is interesting and the story progresses quickly. The book is very kind. Evil exists, but it just lingers on the pages of a book. The main characters do not actually have to fight against evil, although there are several confrontations in the book.

I don't like the writing style of the book. This has nothing to do with the fact that the book is middle grade. The sentences are superficial and they don't touch me.

There should have been a cliffhanger at the end of the book.
