Flawless execution of split POV, time jumps, and twisted plot.
I put off reading this book for too long, purely because I thought it would be too convoluted and difficult to get into (you know when you are craving fantasy but just don't have the brain capacity to absorb it?). Learn from my error in judgement and do not hold back.
The writing was complex, the world building and magic system were unique and well fleshed out, all while remaining digestable which makes it a perfect intro to high adult fantasy.
This book will have you in a chokehold from the first line.
