The Paris Wife
by Paula McLain
This is one of those hard books to rate because I thought it was written well. I just didn't care for it. I have read a lot of Hemingway. I've watched movies about him, etc etc, and the fact is, I just don't care for him as a person, and this book solidified that. I hate how he treated Hadley, and it was hard to read from her perspective, to see her hurt.
The bottom line is this, it was a well-written book that accurately followed the history of Hadley and Ernest Hemingway. I think books about unredeemed historical figures just aren't for me.
But if you like historical fiction centered around real people, or if you like bio pics and bio fics, this might be the right book for you!
