Body Of Proof by Darrell Brown, Sophie Ellis

This audio book was such an interesting story. I chose this one out of my free Audible Audio originals because from the overview, it sounded interesting. I don't normally go for murder mystery type of books, but since it is October, and it sounded like it was more aligned with CSI rather than the regular murder mysteries, I decided I would give it a try. I am glad that I did!

This audio book was done in a way that seemed similar to multiple editions of a podcast were edited together to make a full book/story. This is a modern murder mystery, where a young woman has gone missing without a trace. A coworker is deemed suspicious and come to find out the two have had an affair. The story goes on to look at the case where the coworker was deemed guilty of murder, yet there was no physical evidence against him tying him to the case. Also, there was never a body to be found.

The narrators of the audio book do a wonderful job in keeping an open mind, an objective mind, about the evidence and not taking sides. The murder is still a mystery because the woman's body has yet to be discovered and the crime took place over 10 years ago. I enjoyed listening to this production and I will know for the future to keep an eye out for more productions that are similar.
