Help Me Remember by Corinne Michaels

5.0

Oh man this book was like it was written for me. I love a well written amnesia plot.

Brielle (Brie) was attacked and her beloved older brother Issac was killed. She is the only witness. The story starts when Brie wakes up with no memories from the last three years from her head injury after the attack.

“Selfishly, we all want things, but doing what is best for the other person is what love is.”
I smile a little, looking up at him. “Like helping your best friend’s sister try to remember her life?”

One of her brother’s best friends is there to help her try to remember what happened. She’s always had a crush on Spencer. She finds an engagement ring in her apartment. She doesn’t know Spencer was the one who gave it to her.

This book is angsty. ANGSTY. Spencer and Brie were hiding their engagement due to age difference and the fact she’s his best friends little sister. So his best friend dies, and his love is injured and he can’t be there as her fiancé but only as a friend. Then she wakes up not remembering and asking for her ex boyfriend.

I am desperate for her to just see the truth in front of her. I love her. I love her so much, and I am desperate for her. To have her, touch her, love her and yet, she still can’t come back to me.

This book has everything I love about an amnesia plot. Loved it, if you like a romantic suspense heavy on romance and angst and light on suspense - this book is great. I’d recommend if you liked Repeat by Kylie Scott.
