I don't even know how to fully comprehend what I just read. So much happened. So much backstory, plot, revenge, so many plot twists. The amount of detail in this book was incredible (yet a little disturbing at times). You can tell the author was a fan of Criminal Minds because that's how this book reads: like a season of criminal minds but seeing the killer's reasoning from her own point of view and how she's able to do everything she does and why. I loved this book more than I should. It was about so much more than revenge for past wrongs. The corruption of a town; the bond between two people over loved ones lost; the ability to love again and find true, honest love after such a traumatic event that you truly thought you'd never move on from; protecting the innocent while delivering justice - all of the facets in this book were so thought out. We didn't just follow one man and woman, we follow a whole community and what led them there. If you enjoy criminal minds and can handle the triggers in this book I highly recommend.
