A Touch of Crimson by Sylvia Day

3.0

I haven’t read many Sylvia Day books, previously only a historical, so this was a bit of a jump in writing styles from what I was used to. Even though this is the first in the series I felt a little lost at the beginning of the story, like I missed a novella that gave a little more background and world building. Other than that, I really did enjoy the story and the romantic build up between Adrian and Lindsay, I loved the introduction to secondary characters for books later in the series, and I liked the fresh take on angels/lycans/vamps. I did start to get confused once the action picked up. I felt that some of the action was left unsaid and unfortunately I wasn’t able to read between the lines so I felt a little lost. It’s possible that I just needed to read a little closer. Other than that I was entertained and interested in what comes next in this battle.
