I skimmed most of this and don’t recommend it to anyone. I really wanted to find out about the Bianca/Lorenzo case and that’s all I read it for.

Dani is the most insufferable MC I’ve ever had the displeasure of reading about. God, her POV was torture. Her biggest trauma was divorced parents who were friends. Her “life was all a lie” omg. She just wasn’t well written or fleshed out to be likeable. Her being so full of hate towards Ezra was unwarranted and cringe that she would literally be having sex with him and telling him she hates him. Sorry, that’s not romantic. It’s toxic. I hate it.

Frankly the storyline about the trial was more interesting and well done. I skimmed most of Dani’s POV because poor Ezra had real problems and Dani was villainising him for no reason. Ezra has a more traumatic family dynamic which makes him more likeable because he has a reason to be prickly and mean but he chooses to be nice??
Ezra’s mother cheated on her husband and had Ezra out of wedlock which Alexander constantly reminds Ezra of. Moreover his poor mother tried to off herself.
I don’t think I’ve ever been so disappointed that the two MCs get together in the end. Ezra deserves better.
