Prometheus Rising by Robert Anton Wilson

2.75

Beneath all the pseudoscience, outdated psychology, dogmatic mysticism, hypocrisy, and misogyny there are elements of truth to this book. The confused author was clearly trying to communicate something that he himself was not intellectually advanced enough to understand so it unfortunately got buried under lots of bullshit because Wilson's "reality tunnel" isn't quite as illuminated as he thinks it is. At least he's pretty good at messing with the common person's reality tunnels. Many of the exercises are good, and though most of them are stuff I thought about as a kid I think it would be helpful for most humans to practice the exercises at the end of every chapter for the sake of their mental growth to get themselves out of primitive patterns of thinking.
