I definitely had mixed feelings about this book up until the end. It didn't truly grab me until over halfway through, but I ended up liking it by the end (possibly because it got a bit more "fantastical", which is my preferred genre). The character development and world-building were both good, but I never felt like I completely connected to the main character. I wouldn't say this is my favorite Brandon Sanderson book, but in the grand scheme of things, that's a very high standard for it to have to live up to.
