Fairy Tales of Oscar Wilde by Oscar Wilde

3.0

“One day you will be old enough to read fairy tales again” C.S. Lewis

Wilde supposedly wrote these stories for his sons, but like most fairy tales I think they are better suited to adults.

I was intrigued that the famous author and playwright chose to do this. He follows the traditional form and cadence of fairy tales and his language, not surprisingly, is beautiful. But they are dark and often sad.
