Britt-Marie Was Here by Fredrik Backman

5.0

A deepening heartfelt and eye-opening journey of Britt-Marie throughout Borg. We cried and we laugh through the days, we also learn because a new day is a new lesson.

I love how the story centralized around football. How every person has their own favorite football team and it somehow describes their personality in and out xD It's always a good laugh whenever there's Britt-Marie and Borg community. I love how the author emphasizes the meeting of the people in Borg and Britt-Marie has changed each and everyone's perspectives of each other and how the love grew inside them.

I love how the story ended, a very unexpected one for me. Instead of everything, in the end, Britt-Marie chose herself. She decided to jump, and not to just wait.

Shout out for my love to Sami!!

"You love football because it is instinctive. If a ball comes rolling down the street you give it a punt. You love it for the same reason that you fall in love. Because you don't know how to avoid it."

*my first novel from Fredrik Backman and definitely not going to be my last*
