Anne of Manhattan by Brina Starler

3.0

I was excited about the idea. It turns out that part of the appeal of the original Anne of Green Gables is the quaint charm. Quaint charm doesn't work in Manhattan. While the story was fine and it was kind of neat to see the characters in a modern context, as a whole, it didn't stand out. The characters were fine but a bit less likable than they were originally.
