Ive been doing a marathon of all of this author’s books because i’m a sucker for queer sports romances, mostly hockey, and this one didn’t disappoint! It felt very different from the other books, but also very similar and i absolutely enjoyed myself. This one was definitely not as slow burn as the others, more lighthearted and I even saw improvement in writing too! I absolutely loved every single character! Matthias and Casey were absolutely adorable, Oliver and Marcus too. It was laugh out loud funny and I loved all the interactions with the teammates and main character too.

I think there was a good balance in the hockey side of things, explaining the details and plot/progress in the story than the other books. I am a hockey fan so I always don’t mind these parts, but the other books if you’re not THAT into the details of hockey it could drag out a bit, but this book had a better balance of everything.

This was definitely a quick fun read! I would’ve liked it to be a tad bit longer to wrap certain things up a bit, but overall I enjoyed this book a lot.
