Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
5.0
No, I have never read it. DO NOT JUDGE.
11-11 - And now that I have read it, I realize how sorely the education system is LACKING in what they make their students read! Why wasn't I made to read this in high school? Why isn't EVERY child required to read this?
This book disturbed me in ways that a horror novel never could. It almost felt like they were burning small children rather than books. The banning of books has always upset me, and this was a whole other level. The thought that people would actually do this just horrifies me.
I loved Montag. I didn't think I would, but I did. I loved his ephipanies, and I loved his rage. It was what my reaction would be in such a situation. I hated his wife, and was glad for the ending to her.
I was glad for the ending in general, which I probably shouldn't have been.
Such a good book. Such a painfully good book.
