One Night with the Duke is the first book in this series and my first read from the author. I have heard so much about JEM and what's the best way to pop my JEM cherry than to read her first foray to regency romance?
This is a slow burn romance, which is to be expected from this era, nonetheless the slow build pretty much add up to the intensity of the final deed. And whew, was it sexy! The story is made up of interesting characters with a compelling plot that will hook you as you go along. Eliza is strong willed, smart young lady and the rules of the ton is confining for her, so she tried to find an outlet by writing in her father's newspaper. When the youngest son of the Duke of Chester, Johnny came back to the society's fold, she couldn't resist writing about our mysterious Duke. Needless to say, sparks fly but the Duke's reputation of spending only one night with a woman, will that be enough to uncover his many layers? Loved it and couldn't wait for what's next.
