The Fabric of Our Souls by K.M. Moronova
1.0

Very frustrating read. Nothing was thought out. The MC was just whisked off to this “unorthodox” recovery place, and even if you can suspend disbelief about it later on the cost of it becomes a talking point creating a huge plot hole for how the other patients can afford to stay there FOR YEARS??

All of the characters read like teenagers only to be reminded they’re ALMOST 30??? The power dynamics between them and the facility workers made zero sense especially considering they were all most likely the same ages???

Then out of nowhere it’s a murder mystery?? Then there’s a serial killer??? Mental health was in no way represented well in this, AT ALL. The spice often read juvenile and cringe. This book did many things poorly due to lack of clear direction.

Very close to DNFing, honestly skimmed most of the ridiculous “Crosby” arc.
