This book was such a bizarre delight. It was so unexpected. The characters are all so unique and lovable in their own ways, even if you love to hate them. I experienced so many different emotions listening to this one. The challenges of a widowed woman in the Wild West as she makes her way with a loony bunch of characters and the shenanigans they encounter along the way really set the tone for all the side quests. John Pirhalla does a great job faithfully following the vibe of the time and place doing justice to the characters' unique personalities and tone. This is one that will haunt readers in all the best and necessary ways.
