While I liked The Appeal, and sort of enjoyed another of her books, this one really knocked it out of the park. Her method of storytelling, with emails, chat messages, news clippings, and interview transcripts works very well when your main character is an author trying to write a true crime book about a cold case. I was creeped out at times, and frustrated with the character at times, and thought the twists were very well done.
