There were 31 people waiting on the copy that I returned as this book was a highly anticipated 2024 release.
It was an interesting listen full of beautiful prose. However, it seemed a bit disjointed in its execution. The story is told from the points of view of multiple characters, their individual complexities unraveled as the book progresses. I read a review from someone else saying that the novel was pulled too soon from its publishing oven (paraphrased) & I have to agree.
