Everything about this felt average but wanted to be emotional and impactful. I found the story meandering and the character underwhelming. The secret was painfully obvious, drawn out, and didn’t have the intensity needed to make an emotional impact. Maybe it’s not my taste or perhaps I’m dead inside. Both answers are plausible.
