EVERYTHING I COULD HAVE WANTED. The first two chapters alone gave me a good few belly laughs, and the humour is consistent through the whole novel. The writing is whip smart and the descriptions of the emotions were diamond sharp.

Zaf and Dani are SO compelling, they’re both snarky but never feel mean. Something that I enjoyed is that there was no attempt at a dramatic backstory reveal, the author presents both of their backstories and how that’s shaped them as people in the present, so the reader gets a good idea of what makes them tick and how that will affect their relationship.

I’m being very intellectual cause if I wasn’t I’d bloviate at how much I adored this book. If you just want a good romance with a sweet male love interest and a cool independent female lead then READ THIS!
