This was one of my top five romance novels of the year, hands down (maybe one of my top five of the year in any genre). The premise sounds ridiculous, but this book is so genuinely heartwarming. It's also hilarious, but gut-wrenching at the same time (CW for death of a parent). It's a love story, sure, but it's about family and what it means to come home. And it's about what happens after you die (sorta). I loved it so much I immediately started reading it again the second I finished it.
