I was looking forward this, but the wait was better than the story.
First, it feels overwritten. I think you could tell the same story with half the text. Also, the story has been told. There's nothing new here and it feels it's age. Finally, let's move past Dick Donner's Superman. Constant illusions to those movies only feel like baggage at this point.
My advice is to skip this. If you want a nostalgic throwback, Superman Secret Origin is a lot more fun.
