This was a good time! Marissa was a FIRECRACKER for sure. But not without reason. Her husband played in her face for nearly 3 decades. *Spoiler alert* I would have stabbed him too🤣And Yaseer…just touched in the head. It was love at first sight for him, but she ain’t fight him long. Their love story played out super quickly. And while I usually want more relationship building in books, for whatever reason, I didn’t mind them being damn near married after 2 days. I just really enjoyed them together. I loved their banter. I loved the way he loved on her and spoiled her. I loved how strong she was. I loved that even though they had two different parenting styles with their respective children, it never was a source of contention. In addition to the romance, there was some mild drama and action as well. Worse should have happened to her ex husband.
