Last spring, I taped a fifth grade class’s literature circle as they discussed one of the cliffhanger chapters and just knew I was going to have to read this to see what it was all about. I didn’t love it as much as the previous two Creech books, but I did enjoy how it reads like Cheryl Strayed’s Wild for the middle school set.
