This is a book written to Make You Think, though I'm not entirely clear on what exactly it wants you to think about (thus the 4.5 instead of 5 stars). It is absolutely a vicious and incisive critique of the true crime industry, a peek into the psyches of teenage girls, and a scathing look at toxic fandom on Tumblr. But there's another layer I felt I wasn't grasping entirely. At any rate, this is a horrible nasty book perfect for people who want to read a horrible nasty book!
