Hellboy in Hell Volume 1: The Descent

I'm reading the Hellboy Universe books in their chronological order in universe and I gotta say, it's always such a treat to come back to Hellboy.
This volume is excellent. It feels like an early Hellboy adventure, but in Hell and that's a lot of fun to me.
We are introduced to some of Hellboys family, they're as dysfunctional as you would expect. The status quo has also been shaken. Big things are happening in Hell, what will the Boy do?
I really like the push Mignola has in Hell that everyone bears the "chain they forged in life" and that yeah, you can do whatever you want, but you are gonna pay for that.
Also the nods to a Christmas Carol and Hamlet, are weirdly fitting and kind of great.
