The Wedding Party by Jasmine Guillory was a super nice, cute read — perfect for a rainy weekend when you also have a head cold! I totally sped through it, and found it comforting — very much a Hallmark movie in book form. If you’re a fan of enemies-to-lovers, you’ll probably love it!
I found the characters endearing, although their roundabout (and in my opinion, easily solve-able) problems could be a tad irritating, and the plot predictable up-to-a-point, but there were a few surprises. I also appreciated that this book defended the best possible pizza toppings around: pepperoni and black olives. I won’t hear a word against this heavenly combo.
I’ll definitely be picking up more of Guillory’s books, especially The Proposal, which I’ve heard great things about.
