The Idiot by Fyodor Dostoevsky
4.0
The Idiot is a novel about Jesus-incarnate Prince Myshkin and his ventures through the evil and greedy provinces of Russia. This book is clever, albeit dull during certain parts, and includes some of the most realistic dialogue and thought-provoking moral dilemmas of any of the books I’ve read so far. Though I pledge that this book has very realistic and intriguing dialogue, I will admit sometimes there are tangents that go on for way too long, yet the symbolism of this novel redeem its few flaws. The novel also gives great insight on the human condition, religion, morality, and psychology.
