Unless you’re a hardcore tennis fan or just like to read about sports or will read anything TJR puts out, you can probably skip this one. I myself am a huge tennis fan so I really enjoyed that aspect of it, but I could see where this wouldn’t be an enjoyable read, especially if you know nothing about tennis. Because this is truly about tennis and about a former champion trying to reclaim her throne.
I did not find Carrie likeable. Her redemption arc if you can even call it that came at literally the last chapter when she just had an epiphany and all is well. Her dad was probably my favorite character out of the book.
