Cowboy Seal Christmas by Nicole Helm
3.0
3.5⭐
This is the first book I've read in this series and indeed by Nicole Helm and whilst it was a good read. It didn't really grab me and I struggled to connect with either of the main characters for a number of reasons. I also found it hard to stay engaged throughout this story mainly thanks to all the heavy dialogue.
But I did like the idea of it and I was certainly intrigued by these three former SEALs working on a ranch offering therapy to others suffering trauma from serving their country. And I did like the secondary characters, particularly Monica's son Colin, and I thought the relationship, Gabe created with him came across as very natural and realistic.
Plus, I never felt at a disadvantage having not read the two previous stories and the Christmas theme was nice even if a little unusual to be reading in the middle of summer!
But altogether this was a nice read and I would certainly look out for more from this author in the future.
