Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

3.0

I listen to the audio book and thank god I did. The language used to cast the spells, I would have struggled.

A lot of world building, that was very diverse with a complex magic system. You can tell a lot of thought, time and love was put into creating this story.

The characters were dynamic, changing over the course of the book. However the plot was a little predictable and very typical for a YA book. But I think the world building and characters shined the greatest, and plot was second.

This an enjoyable book.
