If you liked the Silmarillion, you'll like this book. If you're like "the Sil- what?" you will be completely lost and should read the Lord of the Rings AND the Silmarillion before you try this.
It was great in the same epic, large-world way that the Silmarillion was. Although it was incomplete because J.R.R. never finished it. this gives a taste of what could've been. Ah, if only...
