this was the first fantasy book i’ve read but i wanted to branch out to a different genre. i liked the cozy fantasy elements but it’s a very young adult and i believe that made me like it a bit less. however, this was a fun read, with beautiful storytelling and writing. i found myself imagining a lot of what was happening in the book. i liked the characters and how they were written. there was a small twist that i didn’t expect. this book opened a part of me that wants to read more of this genre now.
