Norse Mythology
by Neil Gaiman
I am a long time and steadfast fan of Gaiman's work. But, if you are expecting one of his fanciful novels, you will be disappointed. Gaiman plays it straight with the re-telling of Norse Myths and his normal writing quirks take a back seat to the myths. He uses a light touch to bring the magic and humor of these mythical characters to life.
Even so, I was delighted to learn more about Thor, Loki, and Odin. Their tales are hinted at and referenced in so many tales (including those by Gaiman) and it was great to spend some time with their tales.
