Star Maker by Olaf Stapledon

I liked this book. Especially I liked the first half, narration about possible forms of intelligent life in the universe. Some of these speculations are quite mind-boggling and many might easily have influenced ideas about alien races in following years. The second part has more philosophical approach, compelling enough, yet the major downside in my view is too anthropomorphic approach of the author. The one thing needs to be mentioned, this book was originally published in 1937, and I would have never ever guessed it, such are pioneering and daring ideas in the book (the only hint might be rather old-fashioned English though). All in all, a remarkable piece of classical science/speculative fiction and philosophy writing and a must-read (yes!) for any Sci-Fi fan.
