2.5

The first 80 percent of the book is pretty hard to get through. There’s a lot of dense world building and meandering plot lines. Additionally, the love interest lacks any semblance of charm or personality, garnishing very little investment in their love story. However, the last 20 percent is pretty fun and exciting. I do also really appreciate the weight and depth Danica and Bryce’s friendship is given throughout the story. Overall this book is far too long  but the rising action and climax (😏) is very fun. Most importantly though the buddy read experience was a 15/10!
