The Reason I Jump: one boy's voice from the silence of autism
by Naoki Higashida
emotional
hopeful
informative
fast-paced
The book is a very interesting viewpoint into the life of an autistic nonverbal youth. My only complaint is that he (understandably) generalises and makes statements about “all” autistic people that are untrue. I would caution against using it for learning about the autistic mind, but it’s fascinating as a case study.
