I found "Salt Slow" by Julia Armfield to be an engaging read with a strong start. The unique blend of horror and brilliance in the ideas presented throughout the book gave me occasional goosebumps. What stood out for me was the exclusive focus on women in the narratives, adding a refreshing and insightful perspective. While some chapters were truly remarkable, there were a few that didn't quite capture my interest. Among the standout chapters, "Formerly Feral" and "Collectibles" resonated with me the most, showcasing Armfield's storytelling prowess. I'm eagerly anticipating more of Julia Armfield's literary creations in the future. Overall, I would give it a solid 4.0-star rating for its intriguing stories and the promise of more to explore.
