When My Name Was Keoko
by Linda Sue Park
I first heard about this book when I was still an elementary schooler but never did read it. I'm really glad that I remembered it and read it. When My Name Was Keoko talks about a rather niche part of history. When talking about WWII I don't hear this particular event being talked about as much. I didn't even realize that Japan had control over Korea for the longest time. When My Name Was Keoko is a very fascinating read and I ended up looking up this part of history afterwards.
