challenging dark emotional informative reflective sad tense slow-paced
It took me three months to complete and there were times I was unsure of whether I could get through it. However, this was an excellently written book. Highly informative but painstakingly slow from the beginning to the very end (at least for me). That's not a dig to the book, I understand. It's a highly complex issue with so many nuances. I did have to put it down a few times, but I'm happy I got through it. I learned so much! It also shifted my perspective on several things. Definitely not for the faint of heart or stomach.
